A new challenge for me, a site with increased Accessibility Requirements. We were recently contracted to redesign a dated website for Devonport business Mersey Community Care.
The website for Mersey Community Care is accessed by a broad section of the community, and their focus is on providing Independent Inclusive living. This means that some of their use might have decreased mobility, reduced vision or other reasons that viewing a website might be difficult.
We implemented the "User Way" application, which has several functions adding increased accessibility to the site. It has a site reader, can change the colours on the scree to make reading easier, increase text size, and allows for accessing the site via a keyboard, rather than a mouse.
We're still making some tweaks, it was a learning curve, but we are very excited ti be able to offer this level of function to all of our clients.
