Stewart’s Sewing Machine Centre started trading in 1973 with a second store opening in Burnie in 1974. Specialising in domestic and industrial sewing machines, we also carry haberdashery, sewing and embroidery threads, patchwork and dress fabrics.
We also run classes in machine embroidery, patchwork, sewing and kids sewing. Servicing domestic and industrial sewing machines, multi-needle and domestic embroidery machines statewide.
Ross Stewart has owned and operated Stewarts Sewing Machine Centre since 1973. Ross is a fully qualified sewing machine mechanic/technician who updates his skills by regularly attending training for the different brands of machines he sews.
Having completed his apprenticeship in the textile industry on industrial machines, Ross has kept his training up to date with industrials as well. He travels the state doing machine repairs and servicing and also deliveries.
